Pioneering spirit
As the nights draw in a bit, it’s good to think back over some of the more fun things we got to haul over the summer.
Included in this was a venerable old ex RAF Scammell Pioneer.
Originating way back in 1936, these hugely capable trucks were put to work in some of the toughest environments on earth, in both civilian and military roles.
In fact, the last Pioneer recovery vehicle was not retired from the British Army until the 1980s in Belize.
Our customer had sent this one up north for a bit of fettling.
“Matt as ever was super helpful. I appreciate you and Sean fitting us in and sorting everything out so smoothly.” – DH, West Sussex
